Help!! - Borlis Pass Mission killing me :-)
OK, I may be missing something obvious here, as I am only 2 days old, but this Borlis Pass thing is killing me. I've now spent 3 hours in mission - killed 4 ballistae, cleared the gates, killed the dragon, etc....but can't get the gates to open. I can see Prince Roo-Roo via holding down the ALT key, but can see no King....I've even done 3 laps around the area to see if I've missed anyone, and can't find a soul. Please tell me I missed something obvious, and don't have to do the whole flippin' thing over....Thanks for a quick response or 3 (Seeing as how I've Alt-Tab'ed out of the gae to ask for help :-)

Is that the mission where you have to drop a dwarven powder keg at the gate to blow it up?

if i remember right i think you should find a "heap" (i think thats what is called a lot of them on one another) of powder kegs. you take one and go to the gate where you drop it and it explodes and the gate opens.

Well, not totally germane to MY request, but.....:-)
There is a Dwarf NPC behind a locked gate. Blow the gate with a Dwarven Powder Keg. After speaking with Dwarf, grab another powder keg, and head back over by dwarf - you'll note a fragile looking chained construction by him holding up a ton of snow. Set keg at base, run away...after explosion you can enter Ice Cave with nasty spell-casting Spiders and Dragon all the way in the back. Enjoy! |

If the final gate between you and Rorik isn't opening, then you missed a dwarf somewhere. You have to kill every dwarf between the last signal fire in the first section and that gate.

You have to blow up the gate the Prince is behind???? Boy, never would have thought of that. Guess I'll go give it a whirl....

No, you don't have to blow that gate up. That gat will automatically open once all the stome mountain folks are dead.

OK, that's what I would have assumed, and indeed the keg trick did not work. I am at a loss here - I can not find a single surviving enemy, and the gate just will not open. Guess I'll have to re-start....there's four hours of my life I'll never get back :-)

Well, don't feel so bad. I've done this mission at least 10 times without completing it. One of two things always happens. Either I die (usually at the last big group of enemies before the very end, past Rorik) or my computer locks up cause it hates me. So I've spent the last 3 days trying to get past that mission.
